Plans were reviewed by federal, state, county prior to build.Funds for payment of the tornado shelter are still outstanding. Working through Balderson’s office, they are approval but still not released. Fairfield Beach has 31 new houses in 2025. Property owner 13330 Oak Road being taken to court by the Property Maintenance Inspector.Doug Leith and Bob Slater sworn in as trustees. Terry Horn retirement after 13 years. Trustee meeting report January 21, 2026Chain link fence is expected to be installed at Cedar Park playground next week (weather permitting). Still waiting for tornado shelter funds. Balderson office was helping but the person working on it resigned. Bill Yates would still like to reestablish a Parks Board. Cassie Wright is part of a group improving New Salem park crwright34@gmail.comA parks board could apply for grants under the auspices of the township or county. He needs volunteers to reestablish and run the board which would need to serve the entire township. Our firehouse has been staffed 16 of past 21 days. Days not staffed were mostly due to illness call-offs. If you see a ladder truck labeled speedway, it is a loaner until our new truck if repaired and returned to us. Hopefully by February. Trustees meeting report 18 February 2026Ladder truck is repaired and back in service.Cedar Park Fence is installed and after cleanup the new playground is ready. (Done)Nate Wagner pointed out that Ohio has had 2 deaths related to snowplows. Please give them space. What does everyone think about parking around Cedar Park? Should it be allowed or restricted in someway. There is gravel but ruts are still created. It can be difficult in getting the snow plow through as there is no room for turn around. It is observed that some people are using the park for daily regular parking space. Membership present at FBPOA meeting would agree with parking restrictions. Citizens may voice opinions on our Facebook page. BLRC report: January 22, 2026Nothing specific to Fairfield Beach. Buckeye Lake wetlands work, bicycle trail all continue to progress. Grants from Ohio legislature are not expected to be available due to concern with loss of property tax funds. Not discussed at BLRC but of possible interest to FB residents is SB 104 presented by Sen Brenner to restrict local government control over ability to offer short term rentals. If anyone interested in specific projects I can forward the updates by request.
