FBPOA Minutes July 22, 2025

  1. Neighborhood watch report. Sgt. William provided us with call statistics for Walnut township for May and June. Concerns with unlicensed golf cart drivers and lack of attention to stop signs were discussed with concern for injuries related to this behavior. Sgt. Williams reminded us that if we call to report and give whatever information we might have that concerns will be investigated. He will continue to be liaison to sheriff office for us so any non emergent concerns can be shared directly with him. We have regular patrols at least twice a day on Fairfield Beach.
  2. Treasurer report: $766 plus venmo $30 pending. This includes funds designated for Trunk or Treat.
  3. Trustee meeting report FBPOA has use of tonado shelter on August 9.
  4. BLRC report Ongoing discussion of North Shore Park, Crystal Beach, Millersport canal project, bike trails, all are progressing. Some are dependent on funding but funds are expected between state and donors. Nothing specific to Fairfield Beach.

Ongoing old business

  1. Planning for election of officers in November is ongoing.
  2. Grants- we did not have success but will try again.
  3. Maple road lot tabled until we can obtain a real estate attorney.
  4. Fundraisers.
    • BLASST report $235 generated
    • Concessions for kids sports events planned for next year. There are concerns regarding the maintanence of the ball field.
    • The Last Splash planned for August 9th. Water fun is planned, come one,come all. The Lions Club will partner with us for this event. Please donate school supplies or money for supplies purchase. Buckeye Lake Marina, Home Town Hotdogs and The Beach Stop Marathon have collection bins.   5. Clubhouse replacement-no action

  7. Renee Doppes-graphics for Fairfield Beach POA sign -no action
  8. Membership drive planning. We will have an information table at ‘The Last Splash’ on August 9th.
  9. Produce sales on Clubhouse lot-no action
  10. Millersport food pantry hot meal program. Help would be appreciated at food pantry on Thursdays at 5 pm.

New business

  1. There is an AED in the Tornado Shelter, we will try to schedule training in its use and CPR at one of our meetings.
  2. Feral cats-we will look into a spay and release program.
  3. Plan booth at Sweet Corn Festival next year. Consider selling frozen confections.
  4. Discuss maintenance of ball fields and possibility of reflectors on back of signs at Laurel since there are no longer any lights at that corner with township trustees.
